Last weekend a few SPG members went on an excursion to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Mount Hope PA. The weather was nice and I believe it marked the last official nice day of PA. Nevertheless, we had a blast since it was pirate invasion week, Rrrr.
The experience was amazing as always, you can never get bored there. There’s entertainment for kids, teens, and grown ups (come on, you think pirates tell knock knock jokes?) and everyone had a blast. The whole day consisted of the kids running off learning to be a pirate and beating me with their swords, wine tasting, feasting on turkey legs, and Agatka even participated in the Best Sea Legs Competition (no, not the kind of legs competition you’re hoping for).
The day ended with the Royal Falconer exhibition where we met the brother of the famous owl in Harry Potter, archery demonstration and a dramatic final joust for the Queen. Overall, the wine, drama, kids, laughter, wine, birds, magic, swords, pirates and wine made it an awesome trip. Hope to see more cacti there next time.

Next time I will definitely have to dress up so I can get 1st instead of 2nd place!
